Do you want to feel safer, less triggered, and more present?
Hello, and welcome. Well done for taking the scary first step towards seeking support. I know finding the right therapist can be overwhelming.
I’m Bex (she/they), a professional, accredited counsellor. Therapy with me is down-to-earth. It’s often chatting over a cuppa together. You don’t need to know where to start. The tricky, sticky, hard-to-describe stuff is encouraged. I welcome radical honestly and am non-judgmental.
I’m committed to anti-racist practice and recognise the impact of systemic oppression. I believe survivors. I’m also queer and have ADHD.
I often work with trauma recovery; whether big or small, long-term or a one-off event. Trauma means ‘too much, too fast, too soon, or not enough’. We can work with its imprint to come back to a place of safety.
It is possible to heal from trauma and learn to fully relax. If you want to feel at home in yourself, you’re in the right place.
Maybe you fall into unwanted patterns like avoiding loved ones, partying too hard, or self-sabotage. I’m guessing you’ve tried books, podcasts, and healing practices, but there’s still a quiet, lost feeling that remains.
Therapy with me is a supportive, sacred space to focus on you.
You’ll be truly heard and start to reconnect with who you really are underneath everything that’s happened to you.
I have experience working with within mental health in different settings, e.g., charities and the NHS. I am used to working with complexity.
I weave many threads into my work, including:
Meeting and befriending your inner child
Parts (or subpersonalities) work
Noticing how your body is feeling and learning to build more internal safety via your nervous system
Working with your unconscious (as in, discovering what’s going on underneath your mind’s narrative)
Using creative tools like drawing, meditation, and the imagination
And more. We’ll see what works for you and go at your pace.
Therapy is a journey and a commitment. You can start to feel more grounded, safer in your body, and have a deeper sense of wholeness.
Do you ever wonder what’s “wrong” or “different” about you?
Spoiler alert:
There’s nothing wrong with you.
Even if your mind says you “should be fine”, but your body disagrees. Or a past therapist didn’t get you.
With the right support, you can feel more fully alive.
You can start building the life you want to be living.
