Is therapy for you?
Sometimes, we all need a space to slow down and be really listened to. Therapy is that space.
I think therapy would benefit us all. Most of us keep on as we always did. This is a chance to live life more fully. It takes courage to face what feels hard, but it’s worth it. Pushing away negative feelings is harmful for your body in the long-term. So, doing this work is healing for your body, too.
Dancing, cuddling those you love, laughing… there are many things that help your mental health. But therapy is a consistent, regular place to come to, just for you. It supports you when you begin to try out new ways of being.
The first step is to book a (free) twenty minute call. You can ask anything you like.
What to expect?
After our initial call, we will find a regular time, day of the week, and place to meet (either in-person or online).
In the first session, I’ll ask questions to understand the shape of your life so far and where you want to be.
Afterwards, if you’d like to continue, the therapy sessions will begin. You don’t need to know where to start. Some weeks might be sitting with what’s painful or confusing, and others might bring humour, insight, or quiet shifts.
Therapy can be deeply enriching. But it isn’t always easy. For example, when you start to feel more grounded, old emotions might resurface - ones you were not safe enough to feel before. These might need to be felt and processed from a place of greater safety in order to be healed. That’s normal.
We’ll go very gently and respectfully, working hard to ensure you are not overwhelmed or retraumatised.
How can therapy help?
Through therapy, you can:
Find more meaning and purpose in your life
Uncover and change old patterns
Deeply process and work through the past
Step more into the present moment
Rebuild your life after trauma
Work through and heal from shame
Navigate life with neurodivergence
Connect more fully with yourself and others
Discover who you really are
Please Note:
You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. It simply works when you are open to it. I may suggest practices like journalling and meditation that support the work we do together. And I’ll be right there alongside you, helping you find your
own way through.
